Lord-Lieutenants Mini-Meadows / Branding
Welcome to the first round on the branding of this project 3 type faces / 10 designs
I have taken the ideas from our meeting - to use a green area and incorperate the logo - and also brought in three different type faces to try. These different type faces are presented in three 'steps', with several variations of logo for each.
I have also brought in some floral features, and the final design 'j' uses an illustration from Hungarian artist Anna Oszvald - who I found while looking for an image that was 'just right'.
The idea with presenting 3 type faces and 10 designs is that it will be easy to see what resonates and what doesn't, from the visual options. The next stage is to feed back (through Kathy) which you like. It is possible to tweek a design or combine one with another - in order to arrive at the final version.
I shall look forward to getting your thoughts and feedback soon.
STEP 1
These three logo's use a clean and simple type face with the green area. Designs 'a' and 'b' are compact, while 'c' is drawn out to include a white space. Designs 'a' and 'c' have an image of wildflower meadow overlay to hint at the floral theme.

STEP 2
These three designs incorperate the LL logo. They appear more "traditional" with the copper plate type face. The variations offer more or less feelings of being "official".

STEP 3
This type face offers a little more "charactor" from the choices in the 1st and 2nd steps, with the serifs and angled dashes.
In each of these, the green space is a feature. And in design 'j' the illustration is by Hungarian artist Anna Oszvald. I found her work while seeking something 'just right' for that space.
